WHAT IS A WHEATY?

Wheaties are versatile and therapeutic heating bags that provide a natural alternative for treating and managing aches and pains. Wheaties are made of 100% cotton fabrics and are filled with a natural grain that can be used either hot (heated in a microwave) or cold (stored in the freezer).

HOW DOES A WHEATY WORK?

Wheaties  offer insulation properties as the water molecules inside the grain heat up.  Wheat can absorb and evenly distribute both heat and cold giving you effective pain relief and comfort.

HOW LONG TO  HEAT YOUR WHEATY?

As a guideline heat for 2 -4 minutes as microwaves vary as well as an individual’s tolerance and preference for heat.  If the recommended time for heating is not hot enough for you, gradually increase the time in 15 second intervals.  Wheaties emit heat slowly so we suggest checking the heat by placing the bag on your forearm for 10-15 seconds.  DO NOT be tempted to overheat your bag as this can ruin the contents and can result in injury.   When reheating a Wheaty that is still slightly warm, shorten the heating time by half.

HOW LONG DOES THE HEAT LAST?

The general rule of thumb is the more grain, the better insulation and the longer the heat will be retained.  A Wheaty has enough grain to maintain a therapeutic level of heat for 15-20 minutes and will provide warmth for up to 45 minutes.
